Duffin Cove Oceanfront Lodging in Tofino offers a fully immersive experience of what it means to be on the wave-swept West Coast. Perched on the edge of a cliff, visitors will be able to take in spectacular ocean views whilst surrounded by cedar both inside and outside. From the water the buildings are perceived as three stories, with the bottom floor overhanging the bluff – from land only two stories are visible, allowing the surrounding forest to take precedence. A modular, prefabricated design has allowed for most of the work to be completed elsewhere, minimizing physical and audible disturbance to the delicate local ecosystem and community.
